The elgon story
The founder, Domenico Caimano, made the move from renowned hairstylist to product expert, before becoming a skilled businessman.
In 1970, he founded a small company in Milan, with the desire to create professional products designed for hairstylists seeking quality and fine Italian manufacturing: this is how the Elgon brand was born.
These were the breakthrough years: the brand’s identity was defined and new haircare, styling and texturisation lines were launched. In the meantime, Color cemented its role as the company’s core business, enjoying worldwide distribution.
